Livingstone, Zambia named after the explorer David Livingstone, is a key tourist destination in Africa, famous for Victoria Falls and its vibrant culture. The original European settlement in this area was at a place known as the Old Drift (now within the confines of the Mosi-oa-Tunya Zoological Park).
On February 5th, 1905 the settlement was officially named Livingstone after David Livingstone: the man who brought the mighty Waterfall to the world’s attention and gave them their more internationally recognized name – Victoria Falls, after his reigning monarch.
Livingstone is no known as a major tourism attraction in the Southern African region.
Here you will find a bustling small town with many foreigners passing through.
There are some fine restaurants, cafes, shopping centres and pubs.
Of historic interest are some of the older buildings as well as the Livingstone Museum and the Steam Train Railway Museum,

Livingstone's diverse neighborhoods each offer unique experiences, making the city a fascinating destination for travelers. Most attractions are located in the old town known as Falls View. The falls themselves are situated southwest of the town, along with the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. The Lilogha accommodations are found in the Highlands, a neighborhood that also features Elaine Brittell, which houses the main hospital, several private clinics, and a few bars. Hillcrest is a green residential area known for its famous high school of the same name. Nott Brodie is a vibrant area with traditional food markets and restaurants.
